The image is eerily burned into my mind. A pair of pointed toe bootprints stamped into the thick layer of dust covering my porch one evening. Surrounding the imprints, tear drop splatters like blood on a game trail. Everywhere I look, reminders and signs, interpreting every little thing feeling like our future depends on it. I’ve been there- trying to make sense out of the smallest details- hoping and praying for a future that may very well have already slipped away.
